Alicia Silverstone is the daughter of Monty Silverstone (father) and Deidre R. Radford. She was born in Hillsborough on October 4, 1976. She has half-siblings in her father's marriage to whom she was previously married. She was raised in an average middle class family in San Francisco. When she was six years old, she was a model, and appeared in her very first television commercial. Silverstone was educated in Crocker Middle School in San Mateo, as well as San Mateo High Schools.
