She has been the winner of all-around World Cup competition four times. It is a professional athlete who has earned an impact in American culture. She is one of just six female athletes who have taken home trophies the five World Cup competitions in alpine. In total, she's won more than 80 World Cup titles. The best skier in the world and the most successful American racer of all time in skiing have announced their retirement after this year's World Championship in Sweden. Numerous health issues led her to become a four-time World Cup Overall Champion to choose to quit her job. Social media was her way to announce her retirement.
