Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. Her birth date was July 23, 1971. Her career in music began in the early years, having won local competitions at when she was 10 years old, and recording her first album at the age of 14. The year 1987 was when she dropped her solo debut album after signing with Rounder Records. She was also invited to the group Alison Krauss Union Station where she continues to perform. In 1989, she released her first solo album, her first solo album came out with them.
